The 2019 National Beta Convention was held in Oklahoma City, OK from June 15-18, 2019. Essex County Public School is proud to announce that two of our Essex Intermediate School students, Paris Bacon and Jania Plummer, were invited to attend this event. Paris Bacon is the state champion for the Junior Language Arts Competition and Jania Plummer earned 3rd place at the state convention under the category of Junior Painting. The convention provides Beta Club members the opportunity to share their projects and display their leadership and academic skills. The students also had the opportunity to network with other Beta club members. Essex County Public Schools sends congratulations to both students. Thanks to Ms. Marcie Canada and Ms. Whitney Hooks, the Essex Intermediate School Junior Beta Club sponsors, for dedicating their efforts and time to helping our students achieve these major milestones in their lives.
