Internet Safety Websites

Chatdanger is a website that will teach you about the potential dangers while chatting, using online games, e-mail, IM, and on your mobile devices.

NetSmartz for Kids is an interactive, educational program that provides age-appropriate (ages 5-17) resources to help teach children how to be safer online and offline.

Co-Co's AdverSmarts is an interactive unit for kids in Kindergarten thru 3rd grade to recognize the marketing techniques used on commercial websites.

CyberSense and Nonsense is a website about three CyberPigs that discover just because something is on the Internet doesn't mean that it's true. Appropriate for grades 4-7. 

Privacy Playground teaches students how to spot online marketing strategies and protect their personal information. The CyberPigs wull encounter ploys, spam, and have a close encounter with a wolf during this lesson. Appropriate for grades 3-5.

GetNetWise gives you resources to make informed decisions about using the Internet. You're only "one click away".

NSTeens is a website that provides resources to empower tweens (children ages 8-12) to make safer online choices. There are animated videos which highlight Internet-related adventures.

NetSmartz for Teens has resources that can help teens navigate the Internet and guard their reputation. This website includes videos of actual teens that have been victimized online.

What is Cyberbullying? Who's targeted? Who CyberBullies? What to do about Cyberbullying and how to talk to your parents.

Jo Cool and Jo Fool takes students through a CyberTour. It is an interactive module that will test students savvy surfing skills along with a 20 question online quiz.
Appropriate for grades 6-8.

Privacy Pirates is a tutorial that will introduce students to the concept of online privacy. It will teach them to distinguish between information that is appropriate to give out and information that should be kept provate.
Appropriate for grades 2-4.

Allies and Aliens is an intercative module that has been designed to increase students' ability to recognize bias, prejudice, and hate propaganda on the Internet and in other media.
Appropriate for grades 7 & 8.

The Target is You! is an interactive quiz that has been designed to increase students' knowledge and understanding of alcohol marketing aimed at youth.
Appropriate for grades 6-8.

beSeen is a FREE app by Web Wise Kids, Inc. that you can download. It teaches kids safe habits on social networks.

Scavenger Hunt is a website for grades 3-8. Students can read information and answer questions to complete a scavenger hunt on Internet safety.
Appropriate for grades 3-8.

OnGuard Online is a website you should visit to learn about Cyberbullying. It's bullying or harassment that happens online. It can happen in an e-mail, a text message, a game, or on a social networking website. Help prevent it by visiting this website.
